To put on an event of this size requires a great deal of
manpower and organization. We, the Julian Starfest Committee, can only do so much, and we rely on volunteers to assist
with all the functions required. WE NEED
YOUR HELP!
Although we can't pay you for your services, we can make it
worth your while. If you are willing to volunteer for four hours of
service, on either Friday or Saturday, you, and your family, can
camp for FREE. You will also
receive your choice of one of our 2009 souvenirs. Remember, this is three
nights of camping for only four hours of service.
Your probably asking yourself "What kind of job would I be
expected to do?" The jobs that we need assistance with are; Parking Lot
Direction, White Light Police, Gate Security, Beer Garden Security, Camper
Check-in, General Clean Up, General Public Assistance (public star party night).
Sorry, no pre-selection of jobs, they will be assigned as needed.
So how do you sign up? Simply fill out a standard
Registration
Form (since there is no fee, no on-line sign up is possible) and write
VOLUNTEER across the area where the total will be, and mail it in, no money
required. We'll confirm that you have signed up as a volunteer, via email, and
send you the normal registration packet. When you arrive at Starfest, you
must check-in at the Management Booth for job assignment and time.
If we get too many volunteer signups (not likely) you will be
notified as soon as possible so that you can submit payment for your entrance.
